• THREE DIVISIONS – The CANIDAE California Classic presented by MasterCraft Safety at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale will feature the best in stock car competition on the west coast featuring nearly 300 laps of main event racing: NASCAR Late Models 75 laps, NASCAR Super Late Models 100 laps and the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series 110 laps.
• SPECIAL TROPHY – The winner of the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series CANIDAE California Classic will be awarded a one of the kind Fender Guitar specially painted for the event by Troy Lee Designs.
• WINNER’S PRIZE – The winner of the 110 lap SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series race at the CANIDAE California Classic will not only win a one-of-a-kind trophy, the winner will also take home $5,000, the second largest winner’s payout in series history.
• VERSUS NETWORK – The “CANIDAE California Classic” will be televised on the VERSUS Network on December 26 at 4:00pm EST and December 30 at 6pm EST. VERSUS reaches over 75 million homes.
• INDY VETERAN – Veteran Indy 500 driver Davey Hamilton will compete in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series 110 lap event at the CANIDAE California Classic.
• BIG DAY CHANGED – Newly crowned K&N Pro Series champion Eric Holmes and his fiancée moved their upcoming November 27th wedding day once the CANIDAE California Classic was announced on the same day.
• QB BONUS – Holmes team owner Quentin Bammer will offer a $1,000 bonus to positions 1st and 2nd at the break, if they elect to restart at the rear of field after the break and can finish 1st or 2nd in the race.
• ANOTHER CHAMPION – 2010 Orange Show Speedway Super Late Model champion David Ross has acquired a ‘Tour Car’ and will be at the CANIDAE California Classic, with plans to run the full 2011 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series schedule.
• THIRD APPEARANCE – The CANIDAE California Classic will be the third appearance of the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale in 2010. Newly crowned 2010 SRL champion Jonathon Gomez won on July 17th, and 2009 SRL champion M.K. Kanke won on September 4th at T S I.
• NO POINTS - The CANIDAE California Classic is a non-championship event for the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series; the SRL championship finale was held on October 30th at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
• PIT OPEN HOUSE – The pit area will be open from 4pm to 6pm for fans to get up close to the cars and teams during the Friday, November 26th open practice.
