BAKERSFIELD, California — Today, the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series and Madera Speedway entered into an agreement for the 1/3-mile oval to host the SRL twice in 2011.
“Kenny (Shepherd), Pat (Patnaude) and the entire staff at Madera Speedway treat our teams so well. Madera has a great welcoming atmosphere that fits well with our series,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins. “Madera Speedway has worked hard to build our events and the fireworks that Kenny puts on are outstanding, reminiscent of the fireworks shows we had at Mesa Marin.”
The SRL will be at Madera Speedway on June 25th for their “Independence Day” celebration event, and will return on September 24th.
“I’m excited to have the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series back at the Madera Speedway for two dates during the 2011 season,” commented Kenny Shepherd. “The 2010 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour events were well received by the fans, and our famous “in your face fireworks display” will accompany both 2011 SRL events, along with our crazy stunt man “Johnny Rollover”. I’ve said it before, we are in the memory making business, and the 2011 SRL events are sure to be the best ever.”
The SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series will continue to announce its 2011 race dates as the host racetracks return the signed contracts for their respective races.
