
PEORIA, Arizona — IMCA Modifieds see their first action of the 2011 season at Canyon Speedway Park this weekend, in opening events in the Winter Challenge Series.
Both Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 22-23 features pay $1,000 to win and are qualifying events for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. All main event qualifiers earn a minimum of $100.
National, Butler¬Built Western Region, Allstar Performance Arizona State and special series points will be awarded. The series continues Jan. 29-30, and Feb. 5-6, 12-13 and 19-20.
Pit gates and the grand¬stand open at 10 a.m. each day. Hot laps are at noon and racing starts at 1 p.m.
Entry fee for Modifieds is $50. Pit passes are $30 and grandstand admission is $15 for adults and $13 for seniors and military. Kids 12 and under get in free.
Friday night practice sessions run from 6-9 p.m. on Fridays Jan. 21, Jan. 28, Feb. 4, Feb. 11 and Feb. 18.
