Jack Madrid is preparing to make his first Superlate model start at Toyota Speedway in this year’s 2011 Showdown. Jack has raced his way through the Southern California and Nevada ranks in Karts, Bandoleros, Legends, ASA SpeedTrucks and last year in SuperLate Models at short tracks in the Southwest. Since turning 16 this past December, Jack finally will be able to try his hand in the NASACR ranks as a SuperLate driver.
"I’m really looking forward to racing on the big track this year."— Jack Madrid
In 2008 Jack became the youngest INEX World Road Racing Champion at 14, completing a long hard fought season where he raced in four different states winning the National, World and Team Championship in Las Vegas Nevada at the World Finals.
2011 will begin Jack’s 11th season of racing and he’s excited to drive Linny White’s #9 Superlate Model this weekend as one of the youngest Superlate drivers just 30 days past his 16th birthday.
“I’m really looking forward to racing on the big track this year. We tested last week and ran much better than we thought considering this was my first time in Linny’s car and the first time in a Super at Irwindale.” Jack hopes to make the show and survive the first half of the race and finish in the top ten by staying out of trouble and learning as much as he can from the many great drivers that will race this weekend.
Jack would like to thank his 2011 sponsors including SoCal Industries, Davis Blue Print, King Equipment, CR&A Custom Inc and Who’s That Guy Chassis’.
