17 year old Ryan Reed from Bakersfield, CA is headed to the Toyota All Star Showdown this weekend to settle some unfinished business. Ryan was wrecked while leading the final Super Late Model event of 2010 at Toyota Speedway with just 2 laps remaining. “I’m so excited to get back to the track! We had a crazy off season traveling between CA and NC, now it’s time to race and I’m ready.” – Ryan
This weekend marks the start Ryan’s sophomore year racing NASCAR Super Late Models. As a rookie Ryan posted some impressive stats: 2010 Rookie-of-the-year, youngest winner in Super Late Model history at Irwindale Speedway and the stand-out driver at the season finale events at the Las Vegas Bullring and Irwindale Speedway.

2011 has some very exciting changes and opportunities for the young driver. Ryan is moving to NC, the self proclaimed racing capital. As soon as Ryan and his team close the back door to their hauler Friday night they hit the road for the east coast. “I can’t tell you how proud and excited I am for Ryan. He’s put together a deal to drive select events for one the top teams in NASCAR for 2011. Ryan Reed Racing lead by crew chief Steve Graham will also field our own car for several NASCAR K&N East & Super Late Model races” – Mark Reed. In addition to his east coast schedule Ryan plans to make several trips home to run his Super Late Model at Irwindale Speedway.
