MODESTO, California — Defending SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series championship car owner Bob Strandwold will have three championship drivers at the wheel of his three-car SRL team in 2011. Strandwold will bring 2001 NASCAR Southwest Tour Series champion, Craig Raudman, 2007 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West champion, Mike David, and the defending SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series champion Jonathon Gomez together at BSR (Bob Strandwold Racing).
"All three of these guys are great drivers and have proved that by winning championships. I’m really looking forward to this season, as I feel all three of our teams will be contending for wins every time they’re on the track."
“All three of these guys are great drivers and have proved that by winning championships. I’m really looking forward to this season, as I feel all three of our teams will be contending for wins every time they’re on the track,” stated Strandwold.
In 2010, Strandwold had Gomez, Auggie Vidovich and Derek Thorn as his driver line-up, with both Gomez and Thorn contending for the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series championship.
“We had a great year in 2010, and this year we should be real competitive. The SRL is tough, but I feel any one of our drivers are capable of winning the 2011 title.” Strandwold added.
Strandwold became the first two-time car owner champion in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series, when Jonathon Gomez drove the Strandwold owned Heritage Cattle Company/Century Boatland #22 to the 2010 SRL championship. Strandwold also won the 2007 SRL championship with driver Dave Byrd.
Bob Strandwold Racing is supported by Performance Electrical Company, Inc, JDA Enterprises, Heritage Cattle Company and Century Boatland.
