DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West opens its 2011 season at Phoenix International Raceway on Thursday, Feb. 24. Below is a statistical look at the performance of selected drivers in the series:

Eric Holmes (No. 20 NAPA Toyota)

• One win, three top fives in seven PIR starts

• Phoenix win came in spring of last year

• Average finish at PIR of 13.125

• Has led 104 laps at Phoenix

• 14 career series wins

• 13 career series poles

David Mayhew (No. 17 MMI Chevrolet)

• One top five, two top 10s in five PIR starts

• Best Phoenix finish of fifth in spring of 2010

• Average finish at PIR of 17.2

• Has led 139 laps at Phoenix

• Three career series wins

• Six career series poles

Greg Pursley (No. 26 Gene Price Mtrspts Ford)

• One win, four top fives in five Phoenix starts

• Phoenix win came in fall of last year

• Average finish at PIR of 7.6

• One top 10 in 11 starts at Phoenix

• Best PIR finish of 10th was in 2004

NASCAR K&N PRO SERIES WEST AT PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

• This race will be the 27th stand-alone series race at Phoenix International Raceway. In addition, the series visited PIR for nine combination races with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

• With four victories, Ken Schrader has the most series wins at Phoenix (2001, 2003, 2004, 2006). Richard Petty, with three wins (1978, 1980, 1981), and Scott Lynch, with two wins (2003, 2004) are the only others with multiple wins at PIR.

• Two-time series champion Mike Duncan has four pole awards at PIR, to lead that category. Richard Petty had three poles at Phoenix. Others with more than one pole at PIR include Neil Bonnett, Scott Lynch and Greg Pursley, with two each.

Bobby Allison and Mike David are tied for the most top-five finishes in series action at Phoenix, with six each.

Austin Cameron holds the mark for the most top-10 finishes in the series at PIR, placing 10th or better in nine of his 12 starts there.

• Richard Petty holds the mark for leading the most laps (361) in series competition at Phoenix.

• Of drivers who have competed in four or more races at Phoenix, Neil Bonnett had the best average finish of 2.2 – making five starts between 1977 and 1982.

• Six of the past 13 series races at Phoenix were extended by a late-race caution for a green-white-checker finish.

• Among active drivers in the series, Jack Sellers has the most starts at Phoenix – racing in 15 stand-alone events and entering five combination races.

• Among manufacturers, Chevrolet has the most wins in series action at PIR with 12 wins.

• Six of the 26 series races at Phoenix were won by the pole winner. Three race winners started outside the top 10. Rich Woodland Jr. started the furthest back and won, coming from 21st on the grid in 1998

• At Phoenix, 303 drivers have competed in series competition.
