Saturday night April 23rd marks a major roll back in the cost of racing as the Chowchilla Speedway hosts the first of six race events known as the Saver Series. Prices have been lowered to levels seen thirty years ago both on the competitor’s side, and the grandstand side. Ticket Prices for the fans are only $7 per ticket for everyone ages seven and up, and kids five and under are free. Pit passes are only $25 for competing members during the Saver Series.

This is a special night for the kids as well since it is the on track Easter egg hunt. Thanks to some very generous people this will be a fun night for the children that come out to the Chowchilla speedway. Sara Baxter, Tina Perez, L&J Customs and 80L donated a bunch of plastic eggs with goodies in them, Royal Welding donated bicycles for boys and girls to give away, Inside Lines Apparel and Graphics donated a couple of skate boards, and other prizes are being added as well. So in addition to some great candy, a handful of the plastic eggs will have some special gifts listed inside them.
On the racing side of this great night the Sport Modifieds enter race number three of this young season with a very tight battle for the track championship. Gary Hildebrand holds a slim seven point lead over Robert Fandrey, and right behind Robert you will find Tim Prothro, Chuck Crews and Marisa Odgers in the championship standings.
The Hobby Stocks, Super Stocks, 4-Bangers and Valley Sportsman are also racing on this fun night at the Chowchilla Speedway.
