POINT BATTLES TIGHTEN AT MADERA SPEEDWAY WITH DOUBLE POINT NIGHT ON MAY 21ST

Madera California – The competition in the LunkerDaddy Late Models at the Madera Speedway is getting very close, in fact Howard Holden, Bill Nason, Aaron Mullins and Ray Mayer are just a handful of points apart.

The point leader Matt Erickson will not be racing this weekend at the Madera Speedway due to a suspension, and this will cause a log jam at the top of the leader board for the 2011 track championship. Insert the fact that you can now throw a blanket over the competition and this is shaping up to be one great championship run.

The Toyota Sedans have a close battle brewing as well; Donnie Large, Jarred Tickel and Donnie large Jr. are all stacked up at the top of the point sheet. This is a class that runs wheel to wheel and races are won by the blink of an eye, so we are sure to be entertained with this point battle as well.

The MST’s (Mini Super Toyota’s) are always fun, fast and close competition, and the 2011 season has been no exception as the point leader is Kevin Thompson, but hot on his heels are John McCullum Sr. and Gene Adams.

In the Hobby Stock Class you have Chuck Aguirre at the top of the mountain, but the Selsor boys are right behind him in second and third, in fact Jerry Selsor is just six (6) points behind Aguirre for the championship.

Billy Congdon is in control of the 4-Banger championship, but that smooth stogie smoking character named Tom Rotella is in second place and looking better every week, so this battle is far from over as Congdon has to make it through the rest of the year with Mr. Rotella on his bumper.

Every one of these point battles are back in action this Saturday night at the Madera Speedway during the Holiday Inn Night.

Oh, I almost forgot, it is a double point bonus race, oh this is getting good!
