Chowchilla California -- There is something for the fans and drivers alike at the Chowchilla Speedway this Saturday night. For the fans there is some great racing action with the up and coming Sport Modifieds headlining the event, and the good news is the grandstands are open for free with the paid admission into the Chowchilla Fair! Adult admission to the fair is just $8, seniors are $5, kids 6-12 are $4, and kids five and under are free.
For the race car drivers it is Saver Series round #3 and that means $25 pit passes for all members and the payouts remain the same as the regular races as a bonus. The Sport Modifieds are locked in a great point battle with Gary Hildebrand just in front of Robert Fandrey, Tim Prothro, and Marisa Odgers. This class has been putting on some of the best races in the territory so come out and enjoy the great racing during the Chowchilla Fair!
The Hobby Stocks, Super Stocks, 4-Bangers and Valley Sportsman are also racing on fair night! Cars will be on the track just after 6pm, with racing starting at 7pm.
This year the Chowchilla Madera County Fair is titled “New Beginnings” and once people drive onto the property they will see why. News buildings, new asphalt, new grass and landscaping, remodeled and freshly painted restrooms etc., etc… It is really nice that there are so many great things happening at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds when there is so much doom and gloom in the news these days.
The lineup of entertainment this year is great, Friday features comedy legend Gallagher and his Sledge O Matic, Saturday night car races, and Sunday modified truck and tractor pulls! There is plenty of other entertainment from bands to Lucha Libre wrestling so please visit www.chowchillafair.org/fair for more information.
