Stateline Speedway introduced their new Kids Club this Wednesday with an invitation to all the local schools in North Idaho tonight. The grand stands were packed for a fun night of racing action as the Road Runners, Fever 4 Hobby’s and Bump To Pass divisions put on a spectacular show for our new race fans. The night presented nearly a caution free racing evening on a beautiful warm spring here at Stateline. All the kids who joined us for racing also were treated to a night full of surprises and a whole bunch of fun and games. Following the opening ceremonies a few lucky 12 year olds were invited to play roll out the race tire, with the closest tire to the cone receiving the grand prize and all other contestants some great prizes too. Heat race time showed some exciting side by side action and a preview of what was to turn into a very exciting night of racing action for the main events. Road Runner driver, Britney Rupert, started the evening with mechanical problems and barely made qualifying. With the field lined up to take the green flag Britney Rupert #37, made her start at the rear of the field for the 25 lap main event. Jonathan Tuckness #94 jumped out past the field after 2 laps into the main and held on till lap # 18 when Rupert #37 used the entire race track to advance to the front of the pack and sail to the checker flag for the victory. The Pro Road Runners once again went green to checker for their 25 lap main event with driver Ron Hunter #30 starting mid pack and taking his first main of the season. Fever 4 racing has been heating up early this season with a few new and veteran drivers making lots of excitement on the track. Driver KC Garber #96 trying to make back to back victories for the fever main event was sidelined by the young and upcoming rookie driver Nicole Behar #38. Nicole had a slow start to the evening and started the 25 lap main focused and determined for a victory. Derek Almy #26 started up front and took an early lead and held 1st position till lap 11 when Behar went to the high side of the race track and battled Almy side by side then Behar jumped out of turn two and took the lead with 9 laps to go. KC Garber #96 looking to spoil the rookie’s party put pressure on the young driver with 5 laps remaining but just could not overcome the #38 of Nichole Behar for her first main events win in the Fever 4 Hobby division. Hold on to your seats the Bump to Pass division still to come. Drivers and spectators were treated to a big surprise when the Stateline sweep crew made their way to the front stretch and proceeded to set up a slalom course for our drivers. The start of the main event had race fans of all ages bracing their seats for a wild and wacky Bumper main event. Starting on the pole Mr. Excitement, John Hollingsworth #53 took the green flag and well all heck broke loose with cars going everywhere. Oh I forgot to mention if you hit a cone the driver has to report to the penalty box off of turn 3. The penalty box was full most of the event. Joel Schrader driver of the #99 looked to make a perfect sweep of the season for main event wins and once again did. Come on out and join us next Wednesday Night and see what we have up our sleeve for our Bump to Pass division next week.
