CARLOS VIEIRA RACING TO HOST 3RD ANNUAL RACE AND RIDE FOR AUTISM AND POKER RUN IN AUGUST

STOCKTON, Ca — May 26, 2011. Carlos Vieira Racing and Team 51 FIFTY will be hosting their 3rd Annual Race and Ride for Autism on August 13, 2011. This year’s event will once again be held at The New Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton, California. Last year’s event was an event to remember starting with the 51 FIFTY Motorcycle Poker Run that left CVR’s race shop in Livingston, California with over 200 bikes. Everyone that participated received free merchandize, lunch and grandstand tickets into the races. The Poker Run stops included the towns of Waterford, Oakdale and Farmington with the final stop ending at the Stockton 99 Speedway. A Motorcycle parade around the track showed great support for Autism Awareness and for the Carlos Vieira Foundation. The ride went so well with so many people expressing that it was the best Poker Run they have ever been on, that this year it promises to bring in even more riders from across the state.

If you were not at last year’s Race and Ride for Autism event then you missed the best short track asphalt race of the year. Driver Mike David from Modesto drove one of the Race for Autism Late Model Cars, owned by Carlos Vieira Racing, Inc., to victory lane. Young gun hotshot Jacob Gomes, having had the fastest time in qualifying, chose to start in the back of the 24-car field to have a chance to win an extra $500. Before long he made it up to 2nd place with a chance to win it all but was held to a 2nd place finish with the experience that, 2007 Grand National Champion, Mike David brought to the table. Finishing in 3rd was the other Race for Autism Late Model car piloted by owner/driver Carlos Vieira. This year will bring another full field with $3,000 to win and extra money up for grabs.
