TWIN FALLS, Idaho — Nothing beats a nice piece of pie and an exciting race to watch. Shari’s Restaurant provided pies for the pie eating contest, and the NASCAR Whelen All American Division competitors did the rest. NASCAR’s Western Crown Jewel, Magic Valley Speedway, once again wowed the big crowd with fun, excitement and good old fashioned affordable family entertainment.
The Budweiser Super Stocks ran double features with the return of Jerry McKean in the field. Jerry drove away to an easy victory after mid race caution allowed him to close back into the field on a double file restart. The second main ended in a hard crash ending the night for Jerry McKean, “The Legend” Casey Pehrson and Jenna Quale. Daniel Shirley found himself in position to grab the trophy.
The Project Filter Street Stocks were chomping at the bit to get back to racing on the tough 1/3rd mile oval and Kendall Woll was eager to continue his winning ways as well. He did in fine fashion driving away from the field.
The Quale’s Electronics Pro Hornets raced on the newly formed “teardrop” ¼ mile track and the action was fast and furious. Morgan Rasmussen battled hard with Kris McKean swapping the lead then taking it for good on the last lap.
The new and growing class of TVGoldandSilver.com Thunder Dogs continued to take shape around the 1/5th mile tri-oval entertaining fans with the “no car goes down a lap” rule.
Brennan’s Carpet Pony Stocks ran a double feature with Jerry Slocum ending up the king of the night with double trophies for the shelf at home. He celebrated with his family and fans on Magic Valley’s famous “Winners Walk” back through the grandstands to the pit area.
