TWIN FALLS, Idaho — June 10, 2011) Jonathon Gomez, driver of the Heritage Cattle Co./Century Boatland Chevrolet, is ready to get his season back on track Saturday night at the Bullring at Las Vegas (NV) Motor Speedway. Gomez has three top three finishes at the Bullring in SRL competition but will be making his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series start at the tricky 3/8-mile paved oval in round five of the 14-race championship series.

"Idaho Competitor Likes Vegas; Ready to Roll the Dice"

Through four races this season Gomez has scored finishes of second (PIR), 20th (All American), fourth (Miller) and 14th (Iowa) but is still searching for his first series victory. He is hopeful that elusive win could come Saturday night.

"I really like the Bullring," Gomez said. "It is a fun place to race but you have to really be on your game. The track can narrow up quite a bit and at best it is a one and a half groove track. The K&N cars are going to be a challenge to get around the track making passing difficult. We just need to qualify up front and we should be ok."

The race is scheduled for 200-laps putting a premium on tire conservation. "I expect the track to get really tight and so we are going to have to take it easy on the tires," Gomez offered. "The better we can qualify the better our chances in the race. When you look at guys like Greg Pursley, Eric Holmes, and David Mayhew, they know how to qualify and finish up front. We can certainly race with them, we just want to not have to pass them late in the race."

Gomez is currently tied for sixth in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series-West championship standings after four races this season just nine-points out of fifth place and 171-points out of the point lead. Gomez has started 24 NASCAR K&N Pro Series races scoring five top five and eleven top ten finishes.

Jonathon Gomez is supported by Heritage Cattle Company, Century Boatland, J&C Custom Harvesting, United Oil, Modern Machinery, DJ Safety, and Gomez Farms. Jonathon Gomez is the 2010 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Champion. Gomez is also a winner on the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series and in the Mustang Challenge Series at Miller Motorsports Park.
