SAN BERNARDINO, California — Brandon Loverock and Robby Hornsby Jr. both will be trying to protect their winning streaks when the California Speed Jams 2011 stock car racing and concert season resumes at ASA-sanctioned Orange Show Speedway, on the National Orange Show grounds in San Bernardino, Calif. Loverock, from nearby Highland, has won all three Late Model main events and Hornsby, who lives in Yucaipa, is 3-for-3 in the Pony Stock class, where he is the reigning champion. On the other hand, the featured Super Late Models and Factory Fours classes are without a repeat winner after three races each. Also on the schedule is the Stock Car USA class.

Spectator gates will open at 3 p.m. and the first race is scheduled for 5 o’clock.

Following the races, at approximately 8:30 p.m., there will be a concert with Dokken, featuring the vocals of Don Dokken, and Shenkar, a celebrated composer and vocalist whose credits include the theme song for the TV series “Heroes.”

General admission tickets for this special event will be available for $10 before 6 p.m. After 6 it will be $20 for adults, $15 for seniors (65 and up), students 12 to 18 (with identification), and military and law enforcement personnel. Children under 12 are free. Parking is $5 with entry through Gate 4 off Mill Street. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Ticketweb.com or at the box office on race day
