PARKER, Arizona — Greg Pursley's goal to win the K&N Pro West Series Championship has served him well, with 4 wins and 2 top fives out of the series 6 races this season. The entire team including, Owner Gene Price and Crew Chief Jerry Pitts are solely focused on winning a championship title this year. They feel the team has transitioned into a well oiled machine and are on track to accomplish their goal. "We've really had a dream season and hope to keep the momentum going. I couldn't be happier with my team and their performance this year." said Gene Price.
"Greg Pursley and the GPM team is eager to compete at this weekend's Southern California Toyota Dealers "200" presented by King Taco"
Along with this season's success, Pursley has won at Toyota Speedway in Super Late Models, the former South West Tour and has 2 top five finishes in the K&N Pro Series. He's seeking his first series win at the 1/2 mile banked oval which he considers his home track. The GPM team was on track to win last years race where he secured the top qualifying position and maintained a 1.3 second lead for 42 laps until a right flat tire abruptly ended his evening. "We were really disappointed as we had our car dialed in and were gunning for the win. I love racing at Toyota Speedway. It's a really competitive, fast track. You can go 3 wide in multiple grooves which provides exciting racing for the fans too." said Greg Pursley.
Greg Pursley's team mate, series new comer Dylan Kwasniewski has proven he's worthy of driving side by side and up front with the series best drivers. Kwasniewski had plans of making his series debut in June (after his 16th birthday) but with NASCAR's recent age limit changes, he was able to start his season at All American Speedway in April where he qualified 5th and finished 4th. Kwasniewski has gone on to earn 2 top five's and a top 10 finish to date. "I love racing at Irwindale. There's so many passing opportunities. My teammate Greg is going to be tough to beat, but I'm getting closer and closer each race. This is the home track for him and many other K & N drivers, so it should be some really good racing but I'm planning on bringing my Rockstar/Royal Purple Ford to the winner's circle." “He's very talented, listens to feedback and knows how to communicate effectively to his crew chief Jeff Jefferson,” said team mate Greg Pursley.
