Jeff Hillock of Cedar Hills, UT scored his second win of the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series season Saturday night at Rocky Mountain Raceways located outside Salt Lake City, UT. With the win, Hillock remains the point leader going into the final three events of the year but his margin has narrowed as defending series champion Steve Jones of Meridian, ID was the top point earner for the race finishing third and closed to within five points.
Two-time series champion Zan Sharp finished second in the 125-lap ITT sponsored event to maintain third place in the standings with Lynn "The Hammer" Hardy keeping his championship hopes alive with a fourth place performance. Bryan Wordelman rounded out the top five finishers. Ron Norman from Tucson, AZ in a crate motor powered car finished sixth followed by former SLR Southwest Tour champion Dave Byrd in seventh. Rounding out the top ten were Eric Rhead, John Wong, and Devin LaHorgue.
