Racing resumes at Lakeport Speedway on August 6th 2011 with the Lake County Off Road Extreme Asphalt Outlaws, The Coors Light Modifieds, The Taco Bell Bombers, The Rental Solution Mini Stocks, and the Clover Hydro Jammers. The field is going to be packed with all the stars of Lakeport Speedway minus one, who is still recovering from a freak accident that occurred at the July 23rd race.
Over the years Lakeport Speedway has raised money for Make A Wish Foundation, ALS Association and many other local organizations. This time around it is one of our own that the speedway will be raising fund for that is the young star Kyle Tellstrom who had to be air lifted out to the Trauma Center in Santa Rosa Ca. to help him and his family cover the high medical cost of that have occurred due to the accident.
This event was thought up like many good events at the speedway over working on cars and preparing them for the next show. Collins Racing, Smithart Racing, Taylor Motor Sports, and Furia Motorsport along with Lakeport Speedway are teaming up at this race to help raise money for Kyle.
All the racing teams listed above will be donating back all the winnings that they earn back to this very talented young race car drivers medical expense, as well as Lakeport Speedway will be donating %10 of all the money taken in from the front gate at this night events to the cause as well. Also on sale will be Lakeport Speedway Scratchers to help raise additional fund for Kyle. This is only that start of a list of a many teams that will end up contributing to this event to help one of their own stars and fellow competitors.
