MATT HEIN WINS REBEL JACKSON MEMORIAL AT EPHRATA RACEWAY PARK

It was the return of NSRA for the annual Rebel Jackson Memorial at Ephrata Saturday night with Rebel Jackson, Jr and family in attendance.

Added from first release:

With 22 cars starting the NSRA 50 lap main event Sierra Jackson took off on the first lap to lead the first fifteen. Matt Hein starting in the 9th spot took over the lead from Sierra and dominated the rest of the way with Johnny Geisler battling for the top spotwith Hein and missing it to take on second and Andy Alberding third.

Andrew Razey captured another win in the Kim Janke State Farm Agent Youth Hornets main event. Right at the green flag Andrew was on the pedal and took the lead by the second lap. Patrick Hector stayed right behind him throughout the race. The red flag came out for a three car pileup involving Chase Mulalley, Doug Brown, Jr. and the worst going to Diana Schaible who took a side trip to the ER to be checked out and later released. The race was called during the red flag with Razey taking his sixth main event win, second went to Patrick Hector.

In the Schaeffer Oil Mini Stocks JR Miner took the lead early with Chase Kirk right behind him until mechanical problems sent him to the pits. It appeared that Miner had it all wrapped up but Doug Brown was working his way through traffic and ended up catching miner and making several attempts to take the lead, but it wasn't enough and Miner grabbed the win with second going to Doug Brown.

The Jerry's Auto Supply Big Car main event was full of bumps and crashes but in the end Ray Hahne ended up on top with his main event win.

Thank you to all the fans who supported the Rebel Jackson Memorial and Ephrata Raceway Park. Next week it is again the best of local racing with the Kim Janke State Farm Agent Youth Hornets, Schaeffer Oil Mini Stocks (rainout race), Ephrata Pioneer Muffler II Pure Stocks, Pepsi Racing Street Stocks and the Super Stocks
