RUMBLE IN THE ROCKIES KICKS OFF WITH STATE FARM INSURANCE FANFEST SET FOR FRIDAY

KALISPELL, Montana — NASCAR’s annual summer trek to Montana Raceway Park kicks off on Friday with the State Farm Insurance FanFest featuring a free dinner for the public and an on-track autograph session featuring Michael Waltrip, Eric Holmes, Ben Kennedy, Bodie Morton and many more.

Live entertainment, activities for kids of all ages and opportunities to purchase Michael Waltrip Racing merchandise, Rumble in the Rockies apparel and tickets to this weekend race will also be available during the night.

Activities begin at 5 p.m. with dinner followed by the autograph session at 7.

Teams competing in the Kalispell Toyota Late Model Series take to the track Friday at Noon for a four-hour test session followed by NASCAR K&N Pro Series haulers entering the Montana Raceway Park pit area at 4:30. The grandstands will be open for viewing of all on-track activities during the afternoon.

Action picks up Saturday morning bright and early with NASCAR teams completing their pit area set-ups at 9 a.m. followed by the Kalispell Toyota Late Model Series move-in at 11 a.m. Practice for the late model series begins at Noon with NASCAR K&N Pro Series teams set to take to the track at 1:30. Fans will be allowed to view practice at no charge from the main grandstands beginning at Noon.

Montana Raceway Park will open for seat selection at 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. NASCAR has scheduled an on-track autograph session with all participants in the Toyota/TTC 150 set to meet the public at 5 p.m. NASCAR Qualifying follows Kalispell Toyota Late Model Series time trials which begin at 6 p.m.

Opening ceremonies are set for 7 p.m. featuring several special guests.

A full racing program for the Kalispell Toyota Late Model Series including trophy dashes and heat racing follows opening ceremonies with NASCAR driver introductions scheduled for 8:45. The green flag to begin the Toyota/TTC 150 will be displayed to the K&N Pro Series drivers at 9:00.

The Best of the West Tundra 125 for the Kalispell Toyota Late Model Series wraps up Saturday night’s racing action with the green flag set for just after 10 p.m. Scheduled to compete will be Bodie Morton, Brian Levant, Billy Salmonsen, David Garber, Cameron Hayley, Giles Thornton, Gary Lewis and many more.
