PURSLEY PRACTICES FASTEST AT MONTANA

KALISPELL, Montana — Greg Pursley paced NASCAR K&N Pro Series West practice at Montana Raceway Park for Saturday’s Toyota/TTC 150 presented by Miller Lite.

"Points leader fastest in both sessions"

Pursley, out of Newhall, Calif., laid down a fast lap on the high-banked .25-mile circuit in 13.840 seconds for an average speed of 65.029 mph. The series points leader has been fast every time out this season.

Dylan Kwasniewski, Pursley’s teammate and fresh off a win last week at Colorado National Speedway, was second fastest at 13.867 seconds (64.902 mph).

Defending series and race champion logged the third-quickest lap of the day at 13.925 seconds (64.632 mph). Michael Self at 13.934 seconds (64.590 mph) and 15-year-old Cameron Hayley, making his series debut, at 13.966 seconds (64.462 mph) were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Ben Kennedy, Moses Smith, Michael Waltrip, Luis Martinez Jr. and Daryl Harr rounded out the top-10 fastest drivers on the day.

Pursley and Kwasniewski led the first 45-minute practice of the day, as well. The fast laps in that session were actually the eighth and 10th quickest laps across the two practices.

Two-time Daytona 500 winner Waltrip is making his fifth career NASCAR K&N Pro Series West start.

Qualifying for Saturday evening’s race is set for 6:30 p.m. MT with the main event getting underway at 9 p.m.
