
WEST VALLEY, Utah — Steve Jones of Meridian, Idaho scored his second CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series win of the season Saturday night at the ASA sanctioned Rocky Mountain Raceways located outside Salt Lake City, UT. The win was Jones' fourth career triumph and second straight at the 3/8-mile banked oval. Championship leader Zan Sharp crossed the line in second place followed by Brandon Riehl who made a rare start in the popular series. Devin LaHorgue and Eric Rhead rounded out the top five finishers in the 125-lap NAPA Auto Parts sponsored event.
Lynn Hardy of West Valley claimed his eight career Sharp Powder Coating Fast Time Award to lead all qualifiers. Riehl, Bruce Quale, Sharp, and Jeff Hillock rounded out the top five after qualifying putting themselves at the rear of the starting grid following the customary RMCS invert. Eric Rhead and Steve Jones also won their respective heat races.
