DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – If you haven’t visited an ASA Member Track or ASA Series event this season, start planning because before you know it, the 2011 season will be over. Many ASA Member Tracks are in action this weekend with tight point battles in some of their divisions.
Here is a look at what is happening this weekend.
ASA SANCTIONED SERIES
ASA IRA SPRINT CAR SERIES
Oshkosh SpeedZone (Oshkosh, WI)
It will be a Friday night showdown this week for the fast 410-winged sprint cars. Billy Balog, fresh off his win last Sunday, continues to hold a 67-point lead over Mike Reinke in the series standing.
ASA MEMBER TRACKS
ACE SPEEDWAY (Altamahaw, NC)
Join us this week at Ace Speedway as Mitchell Roofing, Inc.presents Friday Night Racing at its finest. In action this week will be the Dick Shirley Chevrolet Late Models with 100 laps, the Strutmasters.com Limited Late Models, the Chick-Fil-A Mini Stocks and a special Extremes race. The Extreme Fallout will feature competitors that haven’t won a feature race in the past 3 years. It will be a non-points event and no DOHC cars are allowed. A first time winner is GUARANTEED! Admission this week will be $12 for Adults, $8 for Students & Seniors with ID and free for kids 12 and under.
BIG COUNTRY SPEEDWAY (Cheyenne, WY)
Will have a full racing program this Saturday night. Adults are $9.00, Seniors are $7.00, Children 6-12 are $5.00 and children 5 and under are FREE!
CORPUS CHRISTI SPEEDWAY (Corpus Christi, TX)
An exciting night of races is planned this Saturday. The Front Runners, Bombers, Super Streets, Sport Mods and Gocarts will be in action. Adult admission is $10.00 with children 12 & under getting FREE admission. Gates open at 6:00pm with racing at 8:00pm.
DESOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY (Bradenton, FL)
Desoto is off this weekend but will be back in action on September 3. Normal weekly and times are: Ages 13 & up is $15.00, ages 12 & under are FREE! Racing gets underway at 7:00pm SHARP!
DILLON MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Dillon, SC)
This Saturday the Super Trucks will be on track along with the Chargers, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders, Allison Legacy Series and Mini Cup Mods. Adults $12, Kids under 12 free. Gates open at 3pm; practice starts at 430pm and the green flag falls at 8pm. See you there.
EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK (Tampa, FL)
The next scheduled night of racing is September 3, 2011 with Late Models back in action. Along with them will be the East Bay Sprints, Street Stocks, Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers, Dirt Daubers, and the Popular Fan Participation races. Don’t forget, August 25th is open practice for all classes from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Grandstand Admission is FREE to watch. Weekly admission is: Adults are $12, Seniors 55 & up are $10.00, Teens 13-17 with ID is $7.00, and kids 12 & under are FREE with paying adult!
GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY (Elma, WA)
The Big E Weekend is here Friday and Saturday nights. The ASCS Northwest Region, NWWT Wingles Sprints and Midgets will be in action. Adult admission for each night is $17, Juniors 15-18/Miltary is $12.00, Youths 6-14 is $5.00, Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 youths) is $40.00, and Premium ticket is $25.00. Racing starts at 6:30pm each night.
HARTFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Hartford, MI)
Community Hero’s Night and Gigantic Bike Giveaway is scheduled for this Friday night. The UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Stock Cars and Pure Stocks will be in action. Gates open at 6pm with racing at 8pm. Adult admission is $10, kids 10 & under are FREE!
I-25 SPEEDWAY (Pueblo, CO)
I-25 Speedway will be closed this weekend and next weekend for the State Fair. They will be back in action on September 10. Weekly times and admission are:Racing starts at 6:00pm. Adult admission is $10.00; Ages 4-12 is $5.00, kids 4 and under are FREE!
ILLIANA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Schererville, IN)
It is Old Timers Night this Saturday night. Meet some of the legendary drivers. Plus the 9th Annual Canine/Feline Food Drive is also this Saturday. Bring in any non-perishable pet food item and get a ticket to win passes and prizes. It will also be Fan Appreciation Night. Five divisions will be in action on the half-mile and quarter-mile asphalt ovals. Adult admission is $12.00, Kids 8-12 is $5.00, 7 & under are FREE! Gates open at 4:00pm with racing at 7:00pm.

LEBANON I-44 SPEEDWAY (Lebanon, MO)
NASCAR Star Mike Wallace will be piloting the Larry Phillips Foundation/Sportsland Pickup covers #11 Chevrolet Late Model stock car this Saturday night at the famed Lebanon I-44 Speedway.There will be five divisions of racing action. Spectator gates will swing open at 5:00 pm, with the five-division stock car racing program scheduled to start at 7:30 on the track’s 3/8-mile high-banked asphalt oval.Grandstand admission is $10 for Adults, ages 16 and older, while Adult admission in tier parking is $12. Discounted admission for Seniors (ages 65 and older), Military personnel, and Juniors (ages 11-15) is offered in both locations. A grandstand Family Pass for 2 Adults and 2 Juniors plus any number of Kids 10 and younger is available for $25, while six Adults entering in the same vehicle on tier parking will be admitted on the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’ for $60. Following a longstanding track tradition, admission for children ages 10 and younger remains free at I-44 Speedway.
LONESOME PINE RACEWAY (Coeburn, VA)
LPR is off this weekend but will be back in action on September 3. Weekly admission is: Adults are $10, children 12 & under are FREE with a paying adult. Seniors 62+ and military $7.
MARSHFIELD MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Marshfield, WI)
Back to School Special this Saturday night. All divisions and motorcycles will be in action. There will be a 10,000 penny drop, kids bike giveaways, kids race car rides and double features for the Super Late Models. Racing gets underway at 6:30pm. Adult admission ages 15 & up is $12.00, Students 9-14 is $6, Children 8 & under is FREE.
MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY (Meridian, ID)
The Jeff Russell Road to Recovery Benefit is this Saturday night. The Winged Sprint Cars, ASA Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and Hornets will be in action.Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6:30 p.m.Admission is $10 for adults, $7.50 for senior citizens and military personnel with ID, $6 for ages 7-11 and children 6-and-under free. A family pass good for two adults and up to four children ages 7-11 is available for $30.
NEWPORT MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Newport, TN)
After two weeks off, the Late Model Sportsman division is back in action this Saturday night with another pair of twin 35-lap features. Plus the Street Stocks, Front Wheel Drive, Mod 4, Legends and Mini Cups will be in action. Racing gets underway at 7:15pm.
NORWAY SPEEDWAY (Norway, MI)
Island Resort and Casino will be presenting a great night of racing action this Friday night. All divisions will be in action. Qualifying at 5:30pm with Racing at 7:00pm. Adult admission is $8, Seniors is $7, Students ages 11-16 is $7, Children 6-10 years old is $3. 5 and under is FREE!
ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY (San Bernardino, CA)
A full racing program is scheduled for this Saturday night. The Super Late Models, Super Stocks, Pony Stocks, Factory 4’s, National Qualifier for the Legends, Bandos and Mixed Figure 8’s. Gates open at 5:00pm with Racing at 7:00pm.
RED RIVER SPEEDWAY (Wichita Falls, TX)
The last points race is this Saturday night. The Topless Modifieds will be in action plus the Super Stocks, Thunderstocks, Chargers, and Hornets. There will also be an After Race Pit Party. Gates open at 6:00pm with racing at 8:00pm. Adult admission is $10.00, Seniors/Military/High School & College students are $8.00, Ages 7-14 is $5.00 with under 7 is FREE!
ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS (West Valley City, UT)
Rocky Mountain Raceways oval will not be in action this weekend. Racing will return on Saturday, September 3.
SHANGRI-LA II MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Tioga Center, NY)
The Street Stocks, ASA Late Models, Sport Mods, and Trucks will be in action this Saturday night. It is also the final points night. Plus, wine tasting with Hazlitt Wineries. Racing will begin at 7:00pm. Adults 16 & up is $10 with children 15 and under getting FREE admission.
SKAGIT SPEEDWAY (Burlington, WA)
It's exciting at Skagit Speedway with all four divisions seeing racing action at the next-to-last season points race of the year. 410 Sprints, Budweiser 360 Sprints, Cook Road Shell Sportsman Sprints and Outlaw Hornets. Racing 7:00pm.Regular admission is Adults 18-64 is $13; ages 7-17/Seniors/Military are $8, ages 6 & under are FREE!
SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY (Medford, OR)
The Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and Thrill cars will be in action this Saturday night. Grandstands open at 4:00pm with Racing at 6:00pm. General admission tickets are $10 for ages 13 and up. Seniors (62 & up), Veterans, and ages 6-12 are $7.00 with children ages 1-5 years is $3.00. Reserved seating is $15.00.
STATE PARK SPEEDWAY (Wausau, WI)
The Lodi Memorial Twin 66’s are this Thursday night. Twin 66-lap features for the Super Late Models, plus the other divisions will be in action as well. Racing begins at 7:30pm. Adults 18 & up is $12, ages 6-17 is $5, and 5 and under is FREE!
VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Jamaica, VA)
Virginia Motor Speedway is off this weekend. They will be back in action on Saturday, September 3. Weekly admission price for Adults $10, seniors (60+) $8; military (active/retired w/ proper I.D.) $5, students 13 – 17 years old $7, children 7 to 12 $4 and children 6 and under admitted free. On track action begins at 6:30pm.
WILMOT RACEWAY (Wilmot, WI)
It's Ladies Nite at the Wilmot Raceway this Saturday night August 28th. Each lady will receive $5 off on her ticket purchase. Wilmot Raceway will feature the Goodyear Sprints, Don's Auto & Machine Modifieds, RA Adams Enterprises Street Stocks, and Hawg Heaven Fearless & Pro 4's. Racing starts around 7pm.
YAKIMA SPEEDWAY (Yakima, WA)
Yakima Speedway is off this weekend, but will be back in action on Saturday, September 4.
