MOORESVILLE, North Carolina — Ryan Reed Racing recently switched gears in their 2011 program, this coming shortly after their visit to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway back on July 15th. Cody Sommer, then Team Manager at Ryan Reed Racing, has been an essential part in helping develop the future of Ryan Reed, an outspoken Diabetic chasing his dream in NASCAR. In this change Sommers has maintained his focus on developing the business and marketing of their driver Ryan Reed, as well as taking on the role of Crew Chief for the latest addition to the team. Ryan Reed Racing will be competing throughout the southeast in Late Model Stock Cars in some of the most premier events in Late Model Racing. The change brings an extensive addition to the 2011 schedule with nearly 15 events added to the calendar for the remainder of the season. “Late Model Stock Cars are very competitive in our market and this will provide us with a great tool in developing Ryan as he climbs the ladder” Said Sommers.
"I’m really happy with the team and our direction moving forward."— Ryan Reed
The changes paid dividends recently when the team headed to Orange County Speedway in Rougemount, NC. for Twin 50 lap features. The #04 was 3rd quick off the truck with 18 cars in attendance, and continued to have success and progress throughout the weekend. Ryan would collect his best finishes of the season with two solid Top 5 finishes. “We really had a chance to win the second race, if we had some more laps. I’m really happy with the team and our direction moving forward. I just can’t wait for some of these races coming up on the schedule” Said Reed.
