Nascar Winston West standout and Craftsman Truck Series competitor Ross Thompson will be driving in the Featherlite 125 on Friday. Thompson a veteran road racer and former instructor at the Bob Bondurant School of Driving will be driving for Jack Doherty a Phoenix businessman and owner of Nitrotech Freeze Tempering. Along with this race, Ross will be driving in the 2000 Copper World Classic and one more race in 2000 to be determined later. Thompson will be piloting the number 15 ,with The Roomstore Furniture Store as the primary sponsor along with A.B.A. BMX Racing and Nitrotech as associates on his Chevy Monte Carlo.
"We are very excited to have Ross aboard for these races," said Doherty " He is a great young talent and we hope to do the Roomstore proud and extend our agreement."
Look for the team to be strong with good equipment a great crew and Mark Rush serving as crew chief. Rush was the crew chief for the #57 Remax Winston West team of Davey Lee Liniger.
