Mark Condell set the early main event pace ahead of Stone and Stanford. A high pass in Turn 2 of the third lap gained Stanford second from Stone. A low pass in Turn 4 of the fourth lap gained Stanford the lead from Condell as Stone followed closely into second. Condell spun from third in Turn 2 for a lap six caution flag. Stanford led the restart as Williams rode the outside line around Stone for second. A back stretch pass on lap nine gained Williams the lead, and Jim Myers brought out a lap 13 caution flag. Williams led Stone and Stanford on the restart, and it looked like that might be the finish until Williams slowed in Turn 4 of the 22nd lap. Stone raced into the lead and would bring it home a happy winner ahead of Stanford, Coffman, Tim Sprotte and Condell.
Red Williams and Andrew Krumm each won six lap Hobby Stock heat races before rookie point leader Mark Funkhouser won the four lap trophy dash. Rod Lefler paced the first two laps of the main event before Mark Odgers raced by for the lead with an outside move on the front stretch. A low pass in Turn 2 of the seventh lap gained Williams fifth from Funkhouser. Craig Tatum pitted from third on lap eight, and Williams took third from Matt Borges with a low pass in Turn 3 of the tenth lap. Williams steadily reeled in the lead duo, and he was right with them at the checkered flag. However, Odgers drove a flawless race for the popular victory ahead of Lefler, Williams, Krumm and Tim Dean.
Tomlinson Jr. won his Super Street Stock six lap heat race before Shepherd won the four lap trophy dash. George Lefler Sr. led the first four laps of the main event. By then, Shepherd held a straightaway advantage over second place duelers Tomlinson Jr. and Thomas. Back on the dirt after several asphalt starts in his Little Truck this season at Madera, Lockerby raced into the main event lead from his front row start. Reed was an early second ahead of Bamping. A low pass in Turn 4 of the eighth lap gained Beltran second as Reed settled into third. Beltran suffered mechanical problems on lap 13 and retired as Lockerby held a commanding lead over Reed.
