Portland, Ore. Eric Sayre of Vancouver, Wash. won his first Dirt Late Model feature event in 13 years Friday night as BI-Mart hosted the Summer Shootout featuring the I-5 Outlaw Model Series on Portland Speedway's half-mile clay oval. Sayre dominated the action as he picked wins in the Late Model Trophy Dash, Heat Race, and the 35-lap main event, as well as the 25-lap NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Grand American Modified 25-lap feature. With Sayre's fourth consecutive win in the Grand American Modified division, he closed the gap to maintain second in the season point standings to just three markers behind Tom Pinkowsky also of Vancouver, Wash.
