After being a passenger in a car involved in a traffic accident in Merced earlier in the day, Darcie Odgers still came to Chowchilla and scored the victory in the 20 lap Hobby Stock Ladies main event at Chowchilla Speedway. The win gave Odgers the point lead with one event left as Lorraine Mounce finished second ahead of Cindy Layton. Darrell Hughes became the tenth different 20 lap Super Street Stock feature winner ahead of Monty Tomlinson Jr. and Johnny Cardoza. Ron German added to his Super 4 Mini Stock point lead with a main event win ahead of Loyd Bamping and Kevin Lockerby. The night's action was sponsored S&W Parts Inc. of Chowchilla.

Top ten ranked Antioch rookie Megan McCown won her six lap Hobby Stock qualifying heat race with Odgers winning the other heat. However, championship rival Kristi Williams battled Odgers to win the four lap trophy dash. Mounce set the early main event pace ahead of Nikki Smith and McCown as Jeanne McAbee spun early and lost a lap. A high move in Turn 3 of the fourth lap gained McCown second with Odgers settling into third a lap later. Fourth place duelers Smith and Williams tangled on the front stretch for a lap eight caution flag. Mounce led Odgers and McCown on the restart, and an inside move on the front stretch of the 11th lap gained Odgers the lead. Layton made a low pass in Turn 3 of the 13th lap to take third from McCown. There was no stopping Odgers as she ended her night on a much needed positive note with a feature win ahead of Mounce, Layton, McCown and Williams. Incoming point leader and two time winner Jeanette Gomes had lost her ride in the Jay Connelly car, but she found a ride in the Richard Cloutier car. However, a busted transmission in hot laps ended her night early.

Second ranked Darren Thomas and point leader Tomlinson each won six lap qualifying heat races for the Super Street Stocks. Hughes scored the victory in the four lap trophy dash. Rookie Jack Chapman Jr. set the early main event pace ahead of George Lefler Sr. and top five Antioch competitor Troy Burkart. A low pass in Turn 4 of the third lap gained Burkart second as Thomas followed into third. Thomas used an inside move in Turn 4 of the fifth lap to take second from Burkart with Hughes getting by for third. Tomlinson and Eugene Costa tangled in Turn 2 for a lap six caution flag. Hughes, Thomas and Lefler shuffled Chapman out of the top three on the restart. A lap later, Hughes got sidewaus in front of Thomas and stalled momentarily, causing Thomas to spin for a caution flag. Hughes recovered in third behind Lefler and Burkart at the flag as Thomas restarted in the rear. Lefler led Hughes and Burkart on the restart lap, but an outside pass on the front stretch of the ninth lap gained Hughes the lead. Cardoza was third and gained second on a lap 12 restart as Lefler had to pit. Lefler had charged into third by lap 13, but Tomlinson finally made his way through the pack, taking second from Cardoza on a lap 17 restart. Hughes won the wild event ahead of Tomlinson, Cardoza, Thomas and Lefler.

German and Bob Terry each won six lap Super 4 Mini Stock heat races with German also the dash winner. Second and third ranked drivers Terry and Michael Beltran were both eliminated in an opening lap crash in the main event. Bud Sicks Jr. led one lap of the main event, but German gained the lead on a lap two restart ahead of Bamping. The lead duo ran in that order the entire race, and German won by two-thirds of a lap ahead of Bamping. After spinning on the opening lap, Lockerby didn't make it up to third until lap ten, and he was lapped before the finish as Sicks and Mullett rounded out the top five finishers.
