Craig Raudman of Bakersfield, Calif. continued to steam roll his way to a championship by winning the Advantage Ford "150" at the half-mile mile paved oval of Irwindale Speedway in Featherlite Southwest Series, NASCAR Touring competition Saturday night. Raudman started second in the 150-lap contest that saw Eric Holmes of Escalon, Calif. snatched the Bud Pole Award away from Raudman as he endeavors to break Lance Hooper's single season record of nine Bud Pole Awards. Following Raudman to the finish was Scott Lynch of Burley, Idaho in second after nearly two months off from the series, with Darrell LaMoure collecting another strong top five finish in third. Frank Maronski Jr. finished fourth with Jimmy White rounding out the to five.

Raudman extends his championship point lead to 199 over Auggie Vidovich Jr. who lead the most laps (119) in the event before being sidlined on lap 123 with an oil leak. Scott Brandt of Kalispell, Mont. collected Rookie-of-the-Race honors and widens his Rookie point lead over Burney Lamar to just four markers. Raudman's victory was worth more than $6,325 and was Chevrolet's twelfth win this season. Sean Monroe made his return to the series after nearly a three year absence and finished eighth.####
