
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida — Another great weekend of ASA Racing on tap. There is open wheel action on the asphalt and dirt from two ASA Series and many ASA Member Tracks are crowning their 2011 champions.

Meridian Speedway (Meridian, ID)
The fast asphalt winged sprint cars will be making their second visit to the quarter-mile track for two exciting days of racing on Friday and Saturday nights. Matt Hein holds a 23-point lead over Andy Alberding and a 30-point lead over Sierra Jackson in the standings.

Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, WI)
The fast 410-winged sprints will be competing on Friday and Saturday this weekend. On Friday, they will visit Superior Speedway and then travel south to Cedar Lake Speedway on Saturday night.

ASA MEMBER TRACKS
ACE SPEEDWAY (Altamahaw, NC)
Ace will have racing events on Friday night and on Sunday afternoon this weekend. On Friday, it is Fallen Heroes Memorial Night featuring the Late Models, Limiteds, Ace Modifieds, Extremes and Mini Stocks. Racing begins at 8:00pm. Sunday is rescheduled Madhouse Meltdown that was postponed from Labor Day. Pre-Race ceremonies begin at 2:40pm.

BIG COUNTRY SPEEDWAY (Cheyenne, WY)
Racing action is back on Saturday night this weekend. The Late Models, Sportsman, Super Stocks, Mod 4’s, Warriors, Bombers will be in action. Racing starts at 5pm. Adults are $9.00, Seniors are $7.00, Children 6-12 are $5.00 and children 5 and under are FREE!

LEBANON I-44 SPEEDWAY (Lebanon, MO)
The season championships will be decided this Saturday night for all five divisions. The Late Models will be competing in twin feature events.Grandstand admission is $10 for Adults, ages 16 and older, while Adult admission in tier parking is $12. Discounted admission for Seniors (ages 65 and older), Military personnel, and Juniors (ages 11-15) is offered in both locations. A grandstand Family Pass for 2 Adults and 2 Juniors plus any number of Kids 10 and younger is available for $25, while six Adults entering in the same vehicle on tier parking will be admitted on the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’ for $60. Following a longstanding track tradition, admission for children ages 10 and younger remains free at I-44 Speedway.

MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY (Meridian, ID)
The 2011 Meridian Speedway season wraps up Friday and Saturday with more championship action and the second visit of the year by the ASA Northwest Sprintcar Racing Association.The annual Tom Elliott Sportsman Classic presented by Cricket kicks off the two-day finale with the first NSRA feature and the first main event of the championship doubleheader for the College of Western Idaho Professional Truck Driving Street Stocks. The Edmark Mini Stocks and Tates Rents Hornets series titles will be decided, too.Saturday night’s Pepsi Championship Finale will be capped with fireworks, but not before explosive action on the track from the ASA NSRA sprintcars and the championship race for the Street Stocks. VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Jamaica, VA)
Virginia Motor Speedway continues in its efforts to help in the recovery process from Hurricane Irene. Currently the speedway grounds are being used as a staging area for Dominion Virginia Power line crews as they help in restoring power to the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck communities. Some 250 utility trucks are expected to call the pit parking area home until power is restored to the area. Racing will return on Saturday, September 17 with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
