IRWINDALE, California — Ryan Partridge, one of the top drivers in all of Southern California, is looking to run on all cylinders this Saturday night at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.
"Partridge hoping to beat out points leaders Saturday night at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale."
That’s because he’s trailing Conor Cantrell in the NASCAR King Taco Super Truck Series and Rod Johnson, Jr. in the Lucas Oil Slick Mist Super Late Models Series.
Partridge beat out Johnson in the Super Late Models Series race on Aug. 10 only to be beat out by Cantrell by 0.255 seconds for his third straight loss and second place finish.
“It’s now or never,” the 2010 NASCAR King Taco Super Truck Series champion said. “We need to race like never before and hope Cantrell is nowhere near the front of the pack. It won’t be easy, but I still think our team is the best around and we will pull it out in the end.
In addition, Partridge said he thinks he will repeat with a victory this Saturday night in the Super Late Models series race.
“I think I finally found my stride there,” he said. “Hopefully, we can continue with it and bring it forward. I’m not done this season visiting Victory Lane.”
Based in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Ryan Partridge of Ryan Partridge Racing has been racing since he was just 4 years old. Partridge was the 2010 Super Truck Champion, 2009 Rookie of the Year in Super Trucks and 2005 California State Champion in the Legends division. He will be racing exclusively at Toyota Speedway of Irwindale this season. His skills are so good that he is also a race car-driving instructor at L.A. Racing, which is adjacent to the Irwindale track. For more information, log onto ryanpartridge.com and follow him on facebook.com/ryanpartridgeracing and twitter.com/rpartridgerace.
