DAYTONA BEACH, Florida — It will be a busy weekend of racing with many ASA Member Tracks and Series hosting or participating in fall events. For some, this will be their season finale.
Here is a look at what is happening this weekend.
ASA SANCTIONED SERIES
ASA MIDWEST TOUR (SUPER LATE MODELS, SPORTSMAN)
Rockford Speedway (Loves Park, IL)
The popular Super Late Model tour will make its first visit to the historic quarter-mile and headline the 46th Annual National Short Track Championships on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, they will be competing in a 200-lap feature event.
The ASA Midwest Sportsman Tour will have their season finale on Saturday night at Rockford Speedway. Chris Marek will be looking for his second straight championship as he holds an 85-point lead over Scott Null.

ISCARS DASH TOURING SERIES SANCTIONED BY ASA
Hickory Motor Speedway (Hickory, NC)
America’s Premiere Stock Car Tuner Series will have their season finale at the famous Hickory Motor Speedway this Saturday. Danny Bagwell is looking to repeat as the series champion as he will come into the duel feature event with a 90-point lead over Todd Hawkes in the standings.

ASA IRA SPRINT CAR SERIES
Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway (Beaver Dam, WI)
The 2011 season will come to a close this Saturday night at the fast half-mile clay oval located east of Beaver Dam, WI for the Dick Witt Checkered Classic. Billy Balog will come into the event with a 145-point lead over Mike Reinke in the series standings.

ASA MEMBER TRACKS
ACE SPEEDWAY (Altamahaw, NC)
Join us this Friday, September 30th for Championship Night, presented by Chick-Fil-A and King’s Auto Salvage. Competing this week will be the Strutmasters.com Limited Late Models with Twin 35′s, the Chick-Fil-A Mini Stocks with Twin 20′s and the King’s Auto Salvage Extremes with Twin 20′s. Admission this week will be $12 for Adults, $8 for Students & Seniors with ID and free for kids 12 and under.

The racing action returns this Saturday night after taking a week off. The Front Runners, Bombers, Super Streets, Sport Mods and Go Carts will be in action. Gates open at 6:00pm with Racing at 8:00pm.

DESOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY (Bradenton, FL)
Another full program is scheduled for this Saturday night. The Mini Stocks, Mod Mini’s, Flyin 4’s, Bombers, Magic 4’s, Trophy Dash Cars, Race Cars of Yesterday and Outlaw Modifieds will be in action. ASA sanctioned racing returns to East Bay Raceway Park on Saturday, October 1, 2011. The program will be Late Models, Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Outlaw 4’s, Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers, Dirt Daubers and the Big Jim Bargo Memorial for the Fan Participation drivers during intermission. Weekly admission is: Adults are $12, Seniors 55 & up are $10.00, Teens 13-17 with ID is $7.00, and kids 12 & under are FREE with paying adult! Racing starts at 6:30pm.

HARTFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Hartford, MI)
Dealers Choice Weekend is this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Friday, they will have the SOD King of Michigan event along with Street Stocks and Pure Stocks. On Saturday, they will have the $5,000 to win Michigan Dirt Cup for the UMP Modifieds. Sunday will feature the UMP Late Models, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks. Racing starts at 8pm on Friday, 6pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.

The racing action returns on Saturday, October 8 with the Legends, Bandoleros, ASA Street Stocks, ASA Truck Series, Factory Stocks and Team Factory Stocks. Gates open at 5:00pm with Racing at 7pm.

The 2011 season will come to a close this Saturday with the “Fall Shootout.” Five divisions will be in action with the Late Models highlighting the racing action with a 100-lap feature event. A post-race pit party with a live DJ and Shriner’s sponsored draft beer sales will take place after the final feature event. Racing will begin at 5:00pm.

LONESOME PINE RACEWAY (Coeburn, VA)
The season finale is this Saturday night. The Late Models, Chargers, Pure 4’s, Street Stocks, Legends, Renegades, and Powder Puff will be in action. Gates open at 4pm. The 24th Annual Fall Classic is this Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will have trophy dashes, heat races, qualifying heats, and Pro 4 Late Model championship. Sunday will have main events for the Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks and the 200-lap Late Model race. Gates open at 11am with opening ceremonies at 1pm each day.
