Havasu 95 Speedway to Present Hot ASA Racing Action This Saturday

The Havasu 95 Speedway will treat its fans to a full evening of ASA sanctioned racing this Saturday night, October 22nd. The quarter mile paved oval, located within the Sara Park complex in Lake Havasu City-Arizona, will present action from the Gene Price Motorsports I Love Legends Series, the Sam Nichols Electric Bandoleros, the Factory Stocks and The Goose Team Factory Stocks. The special guest racing division will be the Lucas Oil Modified Racing Series, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink, who will be presenting a 75 lap main event.

"Factory Stocks will be making their third appearance of the Havasu 95 Speedway's winter racing season."

The Gene Price Motorsports I Love Legends will be making the second appearance, of four, this Saturday night. Powered by motorcycle engines and resembling roadsters from the 1930's and 1940's era, these cars fly around the track while racing literally inches from each other.

Dustin Ash won the series' first race of the season and is thereby the current points leader. He's expected to be on hand Saturday night looking to make another strong run. But Ash can expect plenty of competition from the likes of Robert D'Ambra, Kyle Niquette, Ryan Cransdale and Devin Mack.

The speedway's youngsters in their small, but swift, Bandolero cars will also be making their second appearance of the season Saturday night. Ricky Lewis was the big winner in the division's season opener and that places him on top of the points standings. But there will plenty of other hard chargers looking for their first win of the season Saturday night including Carter Bahde, Blake Rogers, Matthew Davey and Michelle Brachowski.

The fan favorite Factory Stocks will be making their third appearance of the Havasu 95 Speedway's winter racing season on this night and, typical for this division, their points race is already tight. Chris Weiss is currently on top of those standings with 92 points but only holds a two point lead over Dustin Deneka and a four point advantage over previous race winner Brent Delay. Brandon Preston, at 82 points, and former series champion William Guevara, at 76 points, completes the top five in the points standings.

The Goose Team Factory Stocks is a new concept introduced to the fans this season. The concept calls for one Factory Stock car to be driven by a rotation of three drivers with at least one of them being a female. Team Shake and Bake sits on top of the division's current points standings, based on driver Chris Weiss winning the second race of the year, with 98 points. Four points back in second is Team Monte Carlo who won the division's season opener with Larry Gerchman behind the wheel. The remainder of the top five in the standings is filled by The Intimidators with 92 points followed by Team 29 with 82 points and the Larson Equipment team with 82 points.

Those thunder making, ground shaking, open wheel cars from the Lucas Oil Modified Racing Series, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink, will be presenting a 75 lap main event. That's 75 full green flag laps, the series does not count yellow caution laps. It's champion's night, and the season finale, for the popular regional touring series. Drivers Jim Mardis and Austin Barnes, with a separation of 18 points, are the principals in the series' championship run.

The Havasu 95 Speedway's racing weekend will kick off on Friday night, October 21st, with a test and tune session, from 6 to 9 pm, for all of the racing divisions. This practice session is free to the public.

On Saturday race day the spectator gates will open at 5 pm with the racing getting underway at 7 pm. General admission tickets for Saturday are $12 and $10 for seniors 55 plus, the military and the handicapped. Kids tickets, ages six to 16, are $6. Kids five and under are free when accompanied by a paid adult. Students from the Lake Havasu Unified School District can receive a one dollar discount by presenting their school ID cars. The speedway also offers a family package, which admits two adults and two kids, for $25. Fans can also enjoy the special amenities of the speedway's VIP section, featuring the best seats in the house, for $25.
