MOORESVILLE, Nc — – Driver Ryan Reed cut his teeth on the West Coast racing in the SRL Series and at tracks such as Toyota Speedway at Irwindale and The Bull Ring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In February, Reed was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes but he didn’t let that slow him down. Since then the aspiring young NASCAR driver has headed to the East Coast to pursue his driving career professionally. During 2011, Reed has seen many different racing surfaces and cars, including the Pro Allstars Series, NASCAR Whelen All American and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. However, this October 29th will mark the return of Reed on the West Coast, as he will take his talents back to the Bull Ring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to compete in the SRL Series Event. Reed will pilot the #56 Jr. Joiner Motorsports machine, promoting his NEW partner www.Racehard.com “I’m excited to head back West and race at Vegas, I’ve had some fast cars there and look forward to competing in the SRL Series again” Said Reed. This visit back west will mark the first time that Reed has competed out west since he was diagnosed with diabetes. Ryan now races with a continuous glucose monitor (Dexcom), the same as Izod Indy car driver Charlie Kimbal. This state-of-the-art technology and support from one of the leading medical teams, lead by Dr. Anne Peters, has helped Ryan to get back on track and chase his dreams.
