ASA Racing Weekend Results for October 28-30, 2011

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida — The ASA Truck Series crowned their 2011 champion and four ASA Member Tracks were in action this past weekend. Two of the ASA Member Tracks hosted special fall events.

Here are the results from this past weekend.

ASA SERIES

ASA TRUCK SERIES

I-10 Speedway (Blythe, CA)

Mike Herda held off Taylor Miinch and Branden Underwood to win the season finale event this past Saturday night. Jeremiah Wagner was fourth while Jason Black rounded out the top-five. Miinch’s second place finish secured him the 2011 ASA Truck Series championship.

ASA MEMBER TRACKS

ACE SPEEDWAY (Altamahaw, NC)

Ace Speedway hosted Harvest Havoc this past Saturday afternoon featuring the Madhouse Modifieds. Jon Brown won the first 55-lap feature while Burt Myers won the second. Ryan Nelson won the 50-lap Sportsman feature. Keith Maready won the 25-lap Ground Pounders race after starting ninth. 13-year-old Jared Irvan won both of the 20-lap USAC feature races. Irvan led 39 of the 40 laps.

DESOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY (Bradenton, FL)

Dennis Colletti, Jr won the DS Trucks feature this past Saturday night. John Stewart won in the Bombers. Ernest Helfrick was the big winner in the School Bus Figure 8 feature. Robert Campbell won the Outlaw Modified feature event. Jimmie Best won in the Magic 4’s and Duane Best won in the Flyin 4’s.

DILLON MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Dillon, SC)

Winners from the Fall Spectacular on Sunday were: Jamie Weatherford in the Late Models, Hal Goodson in the Super Trucks, Curtis Peeples in the Street Stocks, Mike Watts in the Chargers, Emory Herring in the 4-Cylinders, Lynn Waller in the UCARs, Bill Willis in the Mini Cup Stock and Nicholas Robinson in the Mini Cup Jr.

EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK (Tampa, FL)

Dave Schmauss won the third in the Donnie Tanner Series this past Saturday night for the Late Models. Schmauss collected $2,000 for the win in the 50-lap event. Kyle Bronson was able to hold off Buzzie Reutimann to take his first win of the season in the Open Wheel Modifieds. Donnie Reed won in the Street Stocks. Phillip Cobb won in the Limited Late Models. Jesse Brown won his fourth feature of the year in the Outlaw 4’s and Raymond Vann won in the 4-Cylinder Bombers.
