BAKERSFIELD, California — Today the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series released their schedule of events for the 2012 season. The schedule currently consists of ten race dates, competing at four tracks in three different states.
“There are so many factors that go into formulating our schedule,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins. “We work to create a schedule that is geographically diverse, varies in track size and allows enough time between events for our teams to prepare race to race.” Collins continued. “Our host race tracks have requested additional dates for the upcoming season, but our teams have continued to express that ten events is a good fit. Due to the increase demand for our events, we may announce an eleventh race date in the near future.”
Currently there are a minimum of three weeks between races, with the series returning to Stockton 99 three times, making three trips to The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, two stops at Madera Speedway, as well as a return trip to 3/8 mile Rocky Mountain Raceway in the Salt Lake area.
The 2012 SRL campaign will begin at Stockton 99 on March 31 with the season finale once again at The Bullring on November 17th.
