SACRAMENTO, California —Stockton 99 Speedway elevates the Modified class to the feature NASCAR division for 2012 with sponsorship support from Star Racing Supply. This major move allows Modified drivers to compete for the NASCAR California state championship as well as raising the year end NASCAR purse money substantially from $2,000 to $10,000.
"We love our racers and are always working to improve what we do at Stockton 99 each year," stated Carol Noceti. "Tony & I believe the Modifieds are going to be a great series in 2012 and we're appreciative of the sponsorship support and track presence of Star Racing Supply."
The NASCAR Whelen All American Series Modifieds presented by Star Racing Supply will feature 20 races over 12 race dates at Stockton 99 Speedway. Twin events have proven to save racers money and increase car counts, so it’s a win-win for everyone. Eight of the 12 race dates will feature twin 40 lap main events and four race dates will feature 60 lap main events. Three of the 60 lap races will form a special Tri-Holiday Classic Championship series dating May 26th, June 30th and September 1st, with the fourth 60 lap event in conjunction with NASCAR K&N West race on May 5th.

Star Racing Supply is the new Stockton 99 track vendor with a physical store at the track offering over 400 brands of racing parts and supplies, along with being the official source for tires and fuel. Star Racing Supply is fast becoming the new Modified headquarters for Northern California, offering four brands of Modified chassis including Racecar Factory, Ellis, Port City and Wenteq. Star Racing Supply is equipped with a full fabrication shop to offer chassis services as well as provide all the parts and materials to build, race and maintain Modified race cars.
