UKIAH, California — The Modified Tri-Track Challenge and the Airport Auto Brokers Late Models Series are now both part of the all new North State Challenge Series under the guidance of Ukiah Speedway promoter Blair Aiken.
Aiken was involved with NSCS prior to it becoming AABLM and agreed to continue the venture when series owner Mike Doss elected to retire. He was also instrumental in forming the Tri Track Challenge last season. Resurrecting NSCS and running both classes under one banner seemed to be the best plan for everyone.
Both the Late Models and the Modifieds will be competing at Ukiah Speedway, All American Speedway in Roseville, Stockton 99 Speedway, and Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka. The Late Models also have one event at Lakeport Speedway.
The Modifieds begin their points season at Ukiah and the Late Model's first race will be at Stockton. A 10-race season is scheduled for the Modifieds, and the Late Models will be running 11 times in 2012.
The complete schedule of events and rules for both classes are posted at www.UkiahSpeedway.com. The North State Challenge Series web site is currently under construction.
