Jeremy Doss wins the biggest event of the year for the Lakeport 2011/2012 indoor Outlaw Go-karting series. Drivers from all over Northern California made the haul for this event, with over 100 karts qualifying in four different divisions. Jeremy qualified 6th out of 39 karts in the 500's division and went on to win his heat race, putting him on the pole where he led all 30 laps of the feature event. The perpetual trophy is a sculptural figure with an ever expanding engraved base, having been passed from driver to driver for almost a decade, as Jeremy will pass it along to next seasons winning driver. This made a fine ending to Jeremy's career as a kart driver, as he will be moving into a late model where he did quite well last season. I was talking with Jeremy at the start of the weekend, and he commented to me that he is enjoying his last few races in his outlaw kart, before looking forward to stepping into his late model full time in 2012 with North State Challenge Series (formerly AABLM). Jeremy had great success in the few races he ran his Late Model in 2011 with the AABLM tour, making it to victory lane at All American Speedway in Roseville after just his 3rd start with the AABLM. The North State Challenge Series (NSCS) is scheduled to appear at 5 different tracks for 2012, All American Speedway, Lakeport Speedway, Redwood Acres Raceway, Stockton 99 Speedway and Ukiah Speedway. At just 15 years old, we know Jeremy will have many more feature wins in his future.
See you at the Track
