COTO DE CAZA, California - For Dave Reed, owner of Dave Reed Racing, the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour race this weekend at The Bullring at LVMS is a return to his roots and a form of racing where he achieved great success over the years. The "GoLiveStream.TV - Blackjack 121" on the 3/8-mile banked oval of The Bullring will bring together more than 30 of the regions top competitors in round three of the 10-race championship series.

Jason Jefferson will pilot the Dave Reed Racing Voli Spirits sponsored Ford at select races during 2012.
Reed previously owned a NASCAR championship winning team in the 1990's and early 2000's culminating in the 2001 NASCAR Southwest Tour title with driver Craig Raudman. And while a lot has change in the intervening years, one thing that has never changed for Reed is his passion for the sport and the desire to win.
"I am really excited and looking forward to coming back to the Spears SRL Southwest Tour," Reed stated. "It has been about five years since I have fielded a car of my own and I have missed that part of the sport."
Reed has been a fixture at the tracks throughout the region acting as a spotter for several different drivers. "I have been active over the years as a spotter and sponsor staying close to the series. This new program with Jason and Voli is exciting. We are all pumped."
Piloting the #15 Voli Light Vodkas/Approved Memory Ford Fusion will be Jason Jefferson. Jefferson is a proven race winner having visited victory lane in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, the now defunct NASCAR NW Tour, and has posted nearly 100 Late Model wins in the NW region where he was the class of the field at both Yakima Speedway and the now shuttered Tri-Cities Raceway in Washington State.
Reed and Jefferson met in the spotters stand a few years back and a mutual respect developed. For Jefferson, the opportunity to get behind the wheel is something you cannot pass up even though he works full-time for the 2011 championship winning NASCAR K&N Pro Series team of Gene Price and driver Greg Pursley.
"This is an awesome opportunity for me to drive and I can't wait," Jefferson said. "I love racing these kind of cars and competing at The Bullring is going to be a lot of fun." Jefferson has not driven in competition since last July where he competed in the Montana 200.
Reed has assembled an "all-star" crew for the effort with a focus on winning each time out this season. Reed plans a full campaign next year aimed at the SRL championship.
"Jason has worked his tail off on this project for the last three months with help from the GPM team in Parker (AZ)," Reed said. "We are excited to finally get on track and showcase our team and new sponsor Voli Light Vodkas."
Plans call for the team to also compete in select SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour races the rest of season as well as participate in marquee events like the Nashville 400 in Nashville, TN and the Snowball Derby in Pensacola, FL later this year.
