Tri-city Washington driver Lucas Valdez brought home the big payday winning the Hobby Stock 50 lap main event at the super oval at Spokane County Raceway. With twenty drivers qualifying at the start of the evening each driver had the same thing in mind win, win, win. With the field making its way down the back stretch and the crowd on their feet for the green flag start things went quite smoothly. Jim Prather moved out in front of the pack of hungry drivers and hold on for the first two laps of action. Just after the complete inverted field settled down racing action appeared throughout the field. Troy Lanoy took the lead from Prather on just the third lap of the main. Lap 18 things started getting real racy as the young Reesen Tarr on his prom night electing to race and have his prom date work the concession stand took to the outside of Lanoy and the race was on. As the crowd of fans cheered on the prom king, both drivers entered turn three side by side with neither giving an inch. Lonoy started his exit of turn four and got loose taking out himself and Tarr on lap 23. On the restart fast qualifier Lucas Valdez took the lead and moved out with a four car lead and take the finish on lap 50. Throughout the race drivers made their way around and swap positions, our prom king Reesen Tarr advanced from the rear of the field after his lap 23 incident and finished a very strong third place. Vance Reynolds held his ground all night but seemed to be just short of the extra horse power to pressure Valdez and finish second.
