PHOENIX, Arizona — For the 4th time in a row #01 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Driver Cassie Gannis will be returning, along with Driven2Dare (D2D), for the 10th anniversary of the Military Tribute Safety Tour referred to as the “101 Days of Summer Military Tour”. Along with her mancavesite.org/itxtdeals.com racecar and her "No Texting and Driving Program", she will appear at military bases in May along with numerous other safety speakers.

The “101 Days of Summer Military Tour” provides presentations to military bases in California and Arizona to support their risk management, mishap reductions and quality of life efforts. The military refers to these as Safety Stand Downs. The tour provides small unit trainings for those who cannot attend the larger safety presentations throughout the year. In addition, the tour creates on base activities to keep safety messages top of mind. To date this group of power sports enthusiasts will have had over 150,000 attend their safety presentation on base. The presentations educate on safety and services related to operating, purchasing and maintaining automotive vehicles, power craft, motorcycles and ATV’s. Gannis’s portion, as a NASCAR K&N race team, is geared toward driving safety and not texting and driving. Her first base is 29 Palms on May 14.

Gannis states, “As part of our social responsibility and what started out as a donation of time and effort, has become something that gives back to me and my sport triple fold!”

This year Gannis will be joined by World Champion Rickey Gadson, most accomplished Professional Drag Racer in AMA Prostar Drag Racing history and nine times World Champion. Together they will be signing autographs, giving away prizes and testing reflexes and defensive riding skills at the KAWASAKI simulator booth. There will also be a blind spot demonstration, CHP will have a police car doing mock sobriety tests, plus much more.

To demonstrate how important this event is, last year Gannis was Nominated by Director of Safety, 3d Marine Airman Wing, T.W. McKnight for, “The training and education that you helped to facilitate will have an enduring affect on 3d Marine Aircraft Wing commands. Your efforts and esprit de Corps reflected great credit upon herself and are in keeping with the highest standards and patriotism”. Gannis was honored to receive from the Department of the Navy/United States Marine Corps, "Safety Chesty Award Certificate of Commendation” for diligence and exemplary level of outstanding safety awareness contributed to the effort of minimizing mishaps. It was personally presented by and signed by Thomas L. Conant Major General, U.S. Marine Corps Commanding Genera,l 3D Marine Aircraft Wing.

Cassie Gannis is currently racing the #01 mancavesite.org/itxtdeals.com NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Car for GSR Racing. Gannis, 21, has been a standout since she decided to hit the tracks at age 10, consistently placing in the top five in the Quarter Midget Racing. She owns the 2003 Arizona State Championship in the Bandolero Series and 2005 Rookie of the Year in the Legend Series. She is a Graduate of the Lyn St. James Driver Development Academy and a passionate speaker on teen driving safety issues on behalf of the CHP Designated Drivers Program, AAA of Southern California, and Driving MBA. She is a Basic Car Care Expert for Community Tires of Arizona. Gannis speaks professionally on radio and TV about all things NASCAR.
