BANKS, Oregon — The Sunset Speedway Park is ready for a busy Memorial Day weekend this Saturday May 26th and Sunday May 27th for two consecutive days of racing action. With two races already in the books the Banks bullring will have six different classes compete over the course of two nights.
Saturday May 26th will have the return of the Northwest Extreme Sprint Car Series along with USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Tracers in action. Then on Sunday the 27th the Sprints will return with the USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and the Womens classification in competition.
The Northwest Extreme Sprint Car Series seen Ricky Ashley pick up the victory on May 12th so did Clint Petty in the USRA Modifieds and Craig Loomis in the Street Stocks. Joey Tardio won the feature in the first race of the season for the Pure Stocks on May 19th and Andrea Tardio did so in the Womens division.
For both days the front Gates open up at 3:30 with racing scheduled to start at 6:00 on Saturday night. Admission is the following prices: Adults are $13, Seniors $10, Children (6-12) $5, Children (5 and Under) FREE, and Family Pack (2 Adults and 2 Children) $30 for both nights as well.
The Sunset Speedway Park is located just west of the Portland metro area in Banks on the Sunset Highway.
