Day # 1 Results of Summer Showdown at Evergreen Speedway

MONROE, Wa — June 29, 2012): The first day of the two day Coors Light Summer Showdown presented by NAPA Auto Parts at Evergreen Speedway is in the books. Jason Fraser of Snohomish, WA was the fastest of the 40 cars that qualified for the Summer Showdown for Super Late Model Stock Cars, so fast the track record that stood since 1995 was broke with a blistering 0:22.063 second lap on the 5/8-mile paved oval equating to 101.981mph. The previous record was held by Garrett Evans 0:22.152. Fraser then went on to win his portion of the twin 25-lap qualifying races. The second twin qualifying race was won by second quick qualifier Jonathan Gomez from Twin Falls, ID. Day two Saturday June 30 has a full day of racing with the traveling Pro 4 Alliance Series (33 cars), Pro 4 Truck Tour and the Les Schwab Tires Street Stock mains will all be on the BIG Track.

High Road Promotions operators of Evergreen Speedway have decided to start all 41 Super Late Model cars in the 200 on Saturday. The Les Schwab Tires Street Stock main that was postponed due to wet weather moving in as they were to take the green will take the place of the last chance qualifier that was originally scheduled at 4:30pm.
