TWIN FALLS, Idaho — Kenny Wallace arrived at MVS ready to tackle whatever the staff had in store. First up was The Commercial Tire Super Stock NASCAR Whelen All American Series Feature Division where Hannah Newhouse looked to maintain her points lead. Wallace quickly made his way to the front of the field battling leader Daniel Shirley. He finally managed to take the lead but a caution came out and the double file restart was when things went wrong for Wallace. His car evidently "vapor locked" and he went backwards while Shirley and Newhouse took off. Newhouse hounded Shirley but was unable to make the pass as Shirley fought hard. Finishing third was Wallace who ran hard after his car came back to life.
Racing in the second annual Aaron's Furniture All Star Challenge Race, Wallace was the class of the field after passing Jeff Peck and lapping numerous cars. Peck was able to just keep him in sight just as John Newhouse was able to keep Peck in sight! They finished first through third respectively, and the only cars on the lead lap!
In the Brennan's Carpet Street Stock race, Ernie Hall continued his amazing dominance by once again running away with yet another win. Another straightaway lead and once again not looking back, he was winning again. Points Leader Paul Browne let second place fall into a fast moving Jason Todd and mustered a third place finish.
Next up at MVS; Saturday July 14th, First Federal Bank Presents; Commercial Tire Super Stocks, Brennan's Carpet Street Stocks (Double Feature), Car Store Thunder Dogs, Quales Electronics Junior Stingers and the Penny Gold Rush!
