ALGER, Washington — The annual Les Schwab Fireworks Extravaganza at Skagit Speedway is scheduled for this Saturday night July 7th after the Mid Season Championship races have concluded.
Presented by the Northwest Les Schwab Tire Stores this spectacular fireworks show has become one of the must-see events in the Norhtwest. With the fireworks exploding directly over your head you’ll experience the bombs bursting in air like you’ve never seen before. Advanced ticket will go on sale at 1:00 p.m. to accommodate the expected huge crowd.
Race fans will also be able to see up close the #99 Carl Edwards Fastenal Sprint Cup NASCAR race car in the entry area. Bring your cameras for this great photo opportunity!
At ASA Member track Skagit Speedway we have full service concession stands, clean modern bathrooms, ice cold Budweiser Beer gardens and a non smoking family section is available. You will definitely want to come early as seats fill rapidly for this very popular event.
Racing this Saturday night features Scrambles and Main Events for all four divisions. The top 6 cars are lined up by Owner points earned for the Scrambles. Finishing position in the each six-lap Scramble determines the starting position of the top six cars in the Main event, with the remaining cars lined up by points directly behind them.
Gates open at 5:00p.m. The night of racing is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. and the Gigantic Fireworks Extravaganza will follow the racing activities.
