Once again the racing at Ventura Raceway was outstanding in all divisions. Saturday night proved this once again with close hard fought racing action that saw the midget win go to a hard charging Danny Ebberts over Ronnie Gardner. Following Ebberts and Gardner across the line were Cody Swanson, Wink Sweitzer and Austin Smith There were two heat races run with wins going to Wink Schweitzer and Ronnie Gardner. Greg Edenholm's continues to lead in the season point race by 65 points over Cody
Swanson after five races.
VRA Senior Sprints were in action with the 20 lap feature win going top Wally Pankratz over Clif Warren, Ed Schwarz, Bruce Douglass and Wayne Herung. Wally’s win was the second of the night for the all time USAC veteran drive who also won the Focus main event. Taking the heat race win was Victor Davis.
VRA Dwarf Cars were on hand running in two divisions, Seniors and Pros. In the Seniors, the 20 lap feature win went to Bill VanPraag with George Calvo, Bobby Lague, Tim Morse and Mitch Hedrick following him across the finish line. They ran two heat races with the wins going to Mike Neal and George Calvo. In Pro action the main event win went to first time winner Johnathan Henry over Ray Estrada, Johnny Conley, Luke Boles, and Curt Cook. They ran three heat races with wins going to Johnny Conley, Curt Cook and Ray Estrada.. After last Saturday's action, Ray Estrada leads in Pro points and Bill
VanPraag leads in Senior points.
Kenny Byers took the win in VRA Go Karts over Justin Raper, Jimmy May, Cody Nigh and Ashley Hazleton. Their two heat races went to Tyler Stover and Ashley Hazelton.
The final adult group racing Saturday night was the VRA Focus Midget Class. The twenty lap feature went to Wally Pankratz who took the lead on lap one from his sixth place starting position. Following him across the line were Cory Elliot, Leroy Anderson, Mike Steele and Ashley Hazleton. The class ran one heat race with the win going to Mike Steele. Parker Colston continues to lead in the season point race by 10 points over Wally Pankratz.
Saturday night also saw racing in our three kids divisions. In Junior Midgets Devin McCree took the win over Miles Hedrick and Tommy Velasquez. Hedrick took their heat race win. In Mini Dwarf Superchargers, the win went to J D Brown over Nick Velasquez and Eli Marshall. Velasquez also took the heat race win. In Mini Dwarf Pistons the win went to Garett Egan over Blake Hendricks and Dylan Neal.
