
Wednesday Night Fever is back, as the cheapest entertainment in Victoria returns to Western Speedway for $5 Wednesday. The Steve Copp Construction Hornets Series returns for round five of their eleven race series this Wednesday July 18th.

Ryan Smith continues his domination as he claimed his fourth feature win in row in dramatic fashion last Wednesday with a last lap pass over Matt Schultz. With the win Smith extended his points lead to 54 over last year’s champion Cam Stanfield 905 to 851. Sitting in third is the father son team of Cole and Graham Schuurman with 808 pointsare only 1 point back of Stanfield with 510 points. Glen Rand moved up one position from last week and currently sits in fourth position with 793 points. Rookie of the contender Brad Aumen rounds out the top five in the point’s parade with 791 points.
Karl Parker leads the second five with 786 points on the strength of his third place finish last week, Mike Halls dropped two positions from lat week ending up in seventh with783 points. Garrett Smith sits in third position with 777 points. Chris and Blair Davis are tied for the ninth position with 752 points. On Saturday the front gates open at 4:30 pm, qualifying at 5:30 and racing to start at 6:30.
On Wednesday the front gates open at 6:00 pm, qualifying at 6:00 and racing to start at 7:00.
The Next event at Western Speedway will be Saturday July 21st as Cash Advantage presents the Billy Foster Memorial for the Richlock Rentals WILROC Non Wing Sprint Cars, also in action will be the OTRA, IMS4 Mini Stocks and Hornets.
On Saturday the front gates open at 4:30 pm, qualifying at 5:30 and racing to start at 6:30.
