• Just how close is the points battle overall? The ten drivers in second through 11th positions in the championship standings are separated by only 111 points. Six of those drivers are within 10 points of gaining a spot. In fact, each position through the top 15 could change in the final race.

• Several drivers advanced in the championship standings following Bakersfield. Sedgwick had the biggest gain, moving up four positions to fourth. Bean gained two spots to third and Richards moved up two positions to seventh. Jason Small moved up one spot to 10th.

• With his latest winnings, Gilliland became the first driver to top the $100,000 mark in series prize money this season. He has won $101,238 so far this year.

• Wayne Jacks has moved past the $200,000 mark in career winnings in the series. The Las Vegas, Nev., competitor is 19th on the list of career money leaders in the series with $200,934.

• Woodside has the best average finish of the drivers who competed in the 13 NWWS races so far. His average of 8.07 leads the list over Bean, who has an average finish of 9.84.

• Woodside leads in terms of laps completed this season. He has run 2,292 laps, which is 97.53 percent of the 2,350 possIble. Sammy Potashnick is second on the list with 2,264.

• Sedgwiwck has led the most laps so far. He has had the Tim Buckley-owned Chevrolet out front for 489 laps. Woodside is second on the list with 381.

• Ford holds a one-point lead in the battle for the manufacturers championship in the series. Ford has 96 points and six wins, while Chevrolet has 86 points and seven wins. Pontiac trails with 56 points.####
