Lake Havasu City, Arizona – As the summer winds down, the racing is still hot as the ASA Truck Series heads to The Bullring in Las Vegas, Nevada this Labor Day Weekend. Our series took a short summer break, but the drivers and teams are itching to get back to racing as the Pre-Entry List shows with 17 trucks scheduled to race. The races remaining will decide the 2012 Champion as well.
With 75 laps scheduled for this weekend’s event, there is bound to be a lot of slicing and dicing at the fast 3/8 oval known as “The Bullring”. The current point’s leader Jeremiah Wagner #77 lives in Las Vegas and is regularly a front runner at his home track, but don’t count out any other drivers with so many laps to manage tires, deal with hot temperatures and numerous rookies. Cole Loftsgard #24 runs for ATK Motorsports and holds second in points with many consistent finishes. The other drivers in the top few spots are all leading contenders for this event as well. We have also been fortunate to have our series continue to grow and will welcome new drivers Gerrit Cromsigt #5, Eric “Goose” Reschke #46 and Blake Dunkelberger #04 to finish out the season.
